The Wilbur Library program is designed to support and enhance the Common Core curriculum used in each classroom. This school year library instruction will focus be on technology and project based learning. Students will use our computer lab located within the library t0 learn the various skills required of 21st Century Learners. Students need to be able to use technology as a learning tool to gather and use information correctly. It is also important for students to develop an interest in reading. We want students to read independently so they can become more successful in all academic subjects. Reading to younger students and making sure older students read independently (taking time away from television and video/computer games) will contribute to increased academic achievement. We would like all students to become more enthusiastic readers and better students through participating in the Wilbur Library program.
